Pig Know How - Sat Sep 22, 2012

If you want to learn the ins and outs of rare breed pigs, where they come from, and what to do with them to make them super delicious, then this event is just for you. Clever chef Stephen Drake from Rose Diner & Bar will be hitching a ride to the McIvor Estate cellar door in Tooborac (just over an a hour outside of Melbourne) to show you how it's done. While the pig gets basted and roasted, join vigneron Gary Harbor on a tour of McIvor Farm's little oinkers before you head back to base for a feast. A definite event pick of Melbourne Food & WIne's Spring Graze event series.
